Eagle Vision's Soundstage Performances DVD presents 12 Doors songs aired on TV in the late '60s in the U.S., Canada and Denmark. Filling out the October 22 release is Jim Morrison's first interview after being arrested in Miami in 1969, new commentary from the surviving members and a 1969 interview and panel discussion on PBS's Critique. "Love Her Madly," Ray Manzarek's film directorial debut, is being shown in NYC next Friday night September 27th as part of the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. 'Love Her Madly' was previously previewed on February 17, 2001 at the Arcadia on Santa Monica Pier as part of the Santa Monica International Film Festival. Ray indicated in remarks that evening that the soundtrack music was not completed, so this NYC showing will surely have some differences from that first showing. Both Ray and Michael McClure appear on screen.

"The Doors Resurrected!" is the story on page 32 of the newest Rolling Stone Magazine issue #906 - October 3, 2002 (scantily clad Jennifer Love Hewitt on cover). Unfortunately, the story is accompanied by a generally unflattering photo of Robby, Ray, Stewart, and Ian. Why isn't Angelo in the photo??? At least Angelo is mentioned in the story. The Doors on the Ed Sullivan Show performing Light My Fire is among the many rock & roll appearances that will be included in Rhino HomeVideo's September 24th release of a 9-volume DVD boxed set (approx. $170.) in 5.1 audio, and on video (approx. $130.) titled Ed Sullivan's Rock 'n' Roll Classics. There will also be two individual DVD volumes (Vol. 1: '65-'67 and Vol. 2: '67-'70) entitled Rock 'N' Roll Classics (approx. $20. each) source: Billboard Magazine 9/14/02
John Densmore appeared as himself in a 1982 episode of "Square Pegs" entitled 'Muffy's Bas Mitzvah' episode #1.9, first broadcast November 29, 1982. Devo performed in this episode, and John appeared at the very end drumming behind 'Johnny Flash' singing onstage at the end of the episode. John was mentioned by name early in the episode, and in the credits he is listed as appearing as himself. The episode was re-run this past Saturday night on TV Land channel.

Bright Midnight Records will release The Doors show recorded at the House of Blues last Tuesday, September 3rd, according to Danny Sugerman.

The Doors private show held yesterday afternoon at the House of Blues, was broadcast in its entirety tonight on Jim Ladd's Living Room show on LA's KLOS at 10:00 p.m. Even better, it was aired commercial-free and uninterrupted!
And more: Jim Ladd's "Head Sets" feature will be the newly released CD from A.I., the 3-piece band that includes Ray's son, Pablo on keyboards. A Manzarek double-header tonight!
