July 26, 2002                Robby on TV

Robby's TV appearance on "Married With Children"  was re-run this evening on FX Channel.     The episode is entitled 'Rock Of Ages' and includes other 60's rockers Spencer Davis, John Sebastian, Richie Havens, Peter Noone, and Mark Lindsay.

The storyline is that Al Bundy is competing to sell the most shoes to win a trip to Hawaii.   During the last ten minutes of the show, he and the family encounter Robby and the others in an airport lounge.  Robby has both a speaking part and a singing part!!!!

Ray Manzarek, Eric Idle,  and Alex Constantine are the panelists on "Conspiracy Zone With Kevin Nealon," the 'Rock Deaths' episode will be re-broadcast on Friday, 7/26     On the west coast, this is scheduled for 9:30 pm - 10:00 pm on TNN.

I learned that The Doors will also be performing at the Toronto show on September 27th. There are a few pictures from this afternoon's rehearsal in the gallery, as well as many from the recent June tour.   The Toronto date is now the 29th.

I saw Ray perform this afternoon with Michael McClure at LA Central Library, Mark Taper Auditorium.   When he spotted me sitting on the bench in the hall waiting to be allowed inside, he greeted me and asked how I knew about THIS one! July 1, 2002        Doors reunion and tour announcements

In Spring of 2003, the band will announce tour dates for the US and Europe.  After that tour it is expected The Doors will go into the studio to record an album of new material.  Already Robby, Ray and John have been writing new songs

June 27, 2002     Doors reunion

Harley-Davidson announced that The Doors will be reuniting for a concert at the opening night of their 100th Anniversary Celebration on September 6 at CA Speedway in Fontana, California.
