As before, the show began with Love Me Two Times, followed next by Maggie M’Gill. We were treated to Mosquito again, as well as Waiting For The Sun.

Other highlights were Not To Touch The Earth; Peace Frog (natch, this is NY again); Gloria (Angelo on vocals); and ... HOLY COW ... Soft Parade.

Waylon continues to carry more and more vocal leads, which is changing the dynamics of the set lists and making the shows very fresh and exciting.

Hot on the heels of that came Unknown Soldier, with the same dramatic performance by Waylon as the night before at Tradewinds - and they finished up with Light My Fire.  The whole band REALLY got into Light My Fire, the last song of the last show on this tour … Robby, Steve, and Waylon got into a major groove over on the left side of the stage. At one point, Angelo jumped up on the drum riser with Ty, and Ty was hitting his sticks on Angelo’s bass guitar strings. It was very cool and unusual, and very SPONTANEOUS … something you don’t see enough of at concerts these days.

The club let them continue to play well past their cut-off time of 1:35; I think it was actually after 2:00 when the last note played. The place remained packed right up until the last note was played. This was my FAVORITE show of all five that I had the chance to see on this tour.

The town of Farmingdale is just a few miles from Bethpage, where the US Open was being held that weekend. Robby made several jokes about that and any golfers who might be in the crowd. I'll bet it was no coincidence that Robby was in that part of the world on that weekend.
