It has been more than six months since my lost stop at Morrison Hotel to check the status of the building, which has been closed & boarded up for a year or so. CLICK ON THUMBNAILS TO SEE ENLARGED PHOTOS
The scaffolding and posters that were there in August are gone. So is the
large vertical Morrison Hotel sign that was over the main entrance, as well as
the even larger one at the corner of the building at Hope & Pico.
The Morrison Hotel sign is now gone from the main entrance. Only a
pair of pigeons is still there, which made me wonder if they were the same pair
that were there in August..
This is the southward facing view of the former hotel, on Pico. About half
a mile or less to the west ( left of this photo view), are the Los Angeles
Convention Center and the Staples Center.
At this corner of the building was a large vertical Morrison Hotel sign.
I wonder where the signage went.
