I found the Morrison Hotel at 1246 Hope Street in Los Angeles boarded up & padlocked shut when I visited there on March 17th of this year.  see March 17th photos

I checked it out again today (July 9, 2006), and found the entire street level boarded up.

This address, which is a short walk from the Staples Center and L. A. Convention Center, is surrounded by buildings under construction.   Many new apartments and lofts are opening in the area.

It is just a matter of time.  This Doors landmark can't be long for our world.
