In terms of local sightseeing, especially walking around to Doors landmarks, the RAMADA is the best bet. There is a restaurant at the hotel, with Starbucks and lots of shops all within walking distance. The Ramada is across the street from Benvenuto and around the corner from Alta Cienega, Barneys Beanery, Themis, and former Elektra Studios.

ALTA CIENEGA is a bare-bones motel. There are not even phones in the rooms. A better idea is to stay around the corner at the Ramada, and just walk over here to see where Room 32 is.
