Toronto Doors 21st Century Show Postponed By Two Days

Planning to spend your first day after the long weekend listening to the smooth sounds of Ian Astbury crooning the lyrics to "Touch Me" while Ray Manzarek plays his signature noodly organ lines? Well, think again, buddy, you're going to have to wait a few days.

The Doors 21st Century show scheduled for Tuesday (August 3) at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto has been postponed "due to unexpected scheduling conflicts." The band will instead play the show three days later, on August 6 at the same venue.

Tickets for the original show will be valid on the new date. If you can't make it to the rescheduled show on Friday, refunds are available at your point of purchase. Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster and the Molson Amphitheatre Box Office for $49.50 plus service charges.

For those not in the know, The Doors 21st Century (who, after a series of legal issues have been barred from simply calling themselves The Doors) features original Doors members Ray Manzarek (organ) and Robby Krieger (guitar) as well as Cult vocalist Ian Astbury, who — let's face it — is the closest you're going to get to Jim Morrison in 2004. The band has struggled with drummers since getting together a few years back. Both original Doors drummer John Densmore and Police drummer Stewart Copeland have been involved with the band but have subsequently sued Manzarek and Krieger.
