WAITING FOR AN ECHO
by Leonard Barnard
"Thirty (some odd) years
ago I worked for The DOORS of "Light My Fire" flame as their barefoot, in-house
press agent. I traveled side by side with Jim Morrison on the rock and roll
road to rhinestones...trading puns a quips with him along the way...even
laughing about publishing a comic book together. Unfortunately time passed
future opportunity for Jim, so the idea of a cosmic comic book just remains a
fond memory.

And even though we were polar opposites philosophically, Morrison was amused by
my make-love-not-war 'hippie-go-lucky' care-free mind, and encouraged to write a
book of my own someday. Saving my notes on scratch paper scattered here and
there for decades, I have recently published "Waiting For An Echo," which
includes many of my "Terrible Parables," and segues into "Projected Rumour," a
somewhat phantasmagorical essay I have written as a memory in tribute to Jim.
