125 "A" Street at Highway 101 in Encinitas, California

This building has been decorated like this for at least a few years, and is informally referred to as "The Rock and Roll Tribute House."

There is a condo project going in where this house stands.   These photos were taken by Steve Covault in March 2006.

My friend Beverly and I had to see this place for ourselves, and stopped there yesterday.   Photos do not convey the total hilarious impact this building has.  Based on materials and equipment lying about, it is apparently still an on-going work in progress although within a year, the building will be demolished to make way for condominium units.
