THE DOORS SET TO RETURN TO THE MOVIES
Iconic rock act THE DOORS are returning to the big screen in two new documentaries.
Top TV producer DICK WOLF will team up with RAY MANZAREK, ROBBY KRIEGER and JOHN DENSMORE - the three surviving members of the band - for a new interview-based historical documentary.
Wolf's project will include interviews with the family members of late rocker JIM MORRISON, who have rarely appeared publicly to talk about the flamboyant frontman. Oscar-winner Bill Guttentag will direct Wolf's project
And surf icon-turned-filmmaker Stacy Peralta is developing SIX NIGHTS, SIX RECORDS, SIX YEARS, which he describes as a social history, set to the music of The Doors.

According to Daily Variety, producer Dick Wolf is preparing a feature-length documentary that will play in theatres, while chronicler Stacy Peralta is making a social history to coincide with next year's four-decade milestone.
Wolf's film will be directed by Bill Guttentag, who won an Oscar for his documentary "Twin Towers" in 2003.
It will show never-before-seen archive footage and interviews with the parents and sister of Doors frontman Jim Morrison, who died in Paris in 1971 at the age of 27 after a meteoric rise to fame singing hits like "Light My Fire", "Break on Through" and "Riders on the Storm".
The three living members of the Doors will co-produce the film.
The second film, "Six Nights, Six Records, Six Years," a social history as seen through the Doors' lives and music, will be directed by Peralta, who wrote the skateboarding movie "Lords of Dogtown," Variety said.
The movies are part of a concerted effort on the part of the surviving band members to expose the Doors' music to a new generation
