The Doors of the 21st Century plan to release a DVD of the band's recent Argentina concert. The October 27th show at Estadio Velez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires was documented with eight cameras and features the group's reconstituted lineup: original Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger, with former Cult singer Ian Astbury on vocals.

Having recently completed their South American tour, the Doors of the 21st Century will take a two-month break before ringing in the New Year on their home turf, with a gig at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California.

Since resurfacing as a touring unit, the Doors of the 21st Century have made progress towards a studio album with new songs like "Cops Talk," "Street of Crocodiles" and "The Eagle in the Whirlpool."

"We want to say something about the human condition in the twenty-first century, just like the Doors in the twentieth century said something about the human condition," Manzarek told Rolling Stone. "If it doesn't have weight to it, it's not worth doing. That's why we're back together."

DOORS RELEASE ARGENTINEAN CONCERT ON DVD

THE DOORS OF THE 21ST CENTURY

THE DOORS OF THE 21ST CENTURY are releasing a DVD of a recent concert in Argentina after crediting it as being their best show.

Original Doors stars RAY MANZAREK and ROBBY KRIEGER were overcome with emotion at the show.

Manzarek says, "It was probably the biggest and most rabid assembly of Doors fans anywhere, at anytime since the original line-up started.

"There were huge fires roaring just 50 to 75 feet from the stage, D21C gave what might be one of their best performances. The promoter said he had never seen anything like it in 25 years in the business."
